Dreamy Winter Wedding in Morrison, CO

From the moment we met Megan and Matt to discuss their wedding plans, I knew it would be one for the blog! Both designers in their own right, the idea of an intimate wedding with precise details and a neutral color pallet was one we were excited to make happen!

Ending our season with these two and their close friends and family was exactly the joy we needed to close out the year.

The Ceremony

Megan and Matt’s day was filled with close friends and family on a beautiful and crisp December afternoon. We were lucky with Colorado Bluebird skies and brisk temperature that allowed for the couple to get married out on the Woodlands back lawn.

Bridesmaids wore dark green velvet dresses, while the groomsmen were dressed in dark gray suits with a tweed type texture. Flowers created by Lace & Lillies were all white with pops of green and wild grasses.

Creating a Cozy & Inviting Space

Woodlands is a beautiful venue with a simple design that plays off the brightest of decor or supports simplicity. As the guest list was just under 50 people, we brought in Little Mad Events to add long flowing white drapery to close off the venue and create a cozier feeling space.

Bright greenery draws the eye down the long wedding party table, while copper accents with the glow of white candles brings a winter warmth to Megan and Matt’s day.

With one long table for 26 down the center of the venue, Megan and Matt invited their families to sit with them - friends and wedding party members were surrounding the long table with a mix of 4 to 8 person rounds. Each table varied in centerpiece decor, with copper vases and candles.

One of our favorite main focal points was the three-tiered cookie cake created by Biscuits and Berries.

Our Favorite Creative Twist

By far our most favorite detail of the evening was the copper mug wall that also played as the guest seating chart. The neon “Cheers” paired with a velvet green ribbon (that matched the bridesmaids) and guest details on the copper mugs had us swooning, and was a great invitation to grab a drink and get seated for a lively dinner.
